Description
Coated VICRYL™ Plus Antibacterial Suture, Violet, Size 0, 27", is a synthetic absorbable braided suture composed of Polyglactin 910 and coated with a combination of Polyglactin 370, calcium stearate, and triclosan. The addition of triclosan imparts antibacterial properties, creating a zone of inhibition around the suture against pathogens such as Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, MRSA, and MRSE.
This violet-colored braided suture offers superior handling characteristics and knot security. The coating facilitates smooth tissue passage and reduces tissue drag. Its composition ensures minimal tissue reactivity, making it suitable for internal tissue approximation in surgical procedures. The braided configuration provides greater flexibility and strength during use.
The UR-6 needle is a 1/2 circle taper point needle specifically designed for delicate soft tissue approximation without cutting.
