Violet Coated Vicryl 2-0 CT-3 27" suture is a synthetic, absorbable, braided suture composed of a copolymer made from 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. It is coated with polyglactin 370 and calcium stearate, enhancing its handling characteristics and knot security. The violet coloration provides excellent visibility during surgical procedures. This suture is equipped with a CT-3 needle, a curved taper point needle suited for soft tissue approximation.

The suture is primarily indicated for general soft tissue approximation and ligation. It is widely used in procedures involving muscle, fascia, and subcutaneous tissues. Applications include ophthalmic surgery, reproductive tract closure, and as a secondary option in orthopedic surgeries.
