Coated VICRYL RAPIDE™ Suture, Undyed Braided, Size 4-0, 18", with PC-3 Needle, is a fast-absorbing, synthetic, absorbable suture composed of Polyglactin 910. It is specifically designed for soft tissue approximation in rapidly healing tissues. The braided construction ensures good handling characteristics, while the polyglactin 370 and calcium stearate coating improves knot tie-down and reduces tissue drag.

This suture features a Conventional Cutting Needle, making it suitable for use in dense or keratinized tissue such as skin. The initial tensile strength is comparable to that of Nylon and Gut, providing adequate support during the critical early wound healing phase. It is particularly beneficial in procedures where short-term support is sufficient, eliminating the need for suture removal.

Coated VICRYL RAPIDE™ induces less tissue reactivity than chromic gut, making it preferable for patients requiring lower inflammation at the surgical site. Its absorbable profile supports wound healing while minimizing long-term foreign body presence, reducing the risk of suture-related complications.
