Coated VICRYL™ Absorbable Suture is composed of a synthetic copolymer made from 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide, forming POLYGLACTIN 910. The undyed braided variant offers high visibility in delicate surgical fields and minimizes tissue reactivity. The FS-2 needle paired with the 5-0 suture size supports precise approximation of delicate tissues, particularly in ophthalmic and microsurgical applications.

The coating consists of a mixture of polyglactin 370 and calcium stearate, enhancing smooth passage through tissue. This feature improves handling and allows secure knot placement with minimal tissue trauma.
