Suture, PDO 2-0 Undyed 1X27 CT-1 is a synthetic, absorbable monofilament suture composed of polydioxanone. It is designed to provide extended tensile strength retention and predictable absorption through hydrolysis. The suture retains approximately 50% of its tensile strength at four weeks and undergoes complete absorption within 180 to 220 days. The undyed composition reduces visibility, making it suitable for procedures where minimal suture presence is desired.

This suture is equipped with a CT-1 Taper Point Needle, which is designed for smooth penetration through delicate tissues while minimizing trauma. The 1/2 circle needle curvature facilitates controlled movement, particularly in deep or confined surgical fields. Constructed from high-quality alloy, the needle maintains sharpness and durability for multiple passes. Its tapered design allows for easy passage through tissue with minimal resistance.

As a monofilament suture, PDO 2-0 offers low tissue reactivity and reduced bacterial adhesion compared to braided alternatives.
